EPDM Rubber
A single-piece rubber membrane with no seams to fail. Extremely flexible, handles thermal movement well, and lasts 20 years plus with minimal upkeep. Our go-to for most domestic flat roofs.

Most homes, extensions, garages
GRP Fibreglass
Glass-reinforced polyester laid in layers and finished with a flow coat. Seamless, very hard-wearing and can be laid to falls easily. Ideal where foot traffic is expected.
Best For
Balconies, walk-on areas, complex shapes
Felt Systems
Traditional high-performance built-up felt with a mineral finish. Cost-effective and reliable when installed with proper falls and correct layering — not the thin stuff of the past.

Why They Fail
It's Almost
Never The Membrane.
When a flat roof starts leaking, people assume the covering has gone. Usually it's actually one of these — and each one is something we deal with properly at installation.
Insufficient Falls
If water stands on the roof, it will find a way in — no matter what the covering is.
Poor Detailing
Upstands, outlets and edges are where leaks start. They need proper design, not improvisation.
No Ventilation
Warm moist air from below condenses on the underside and rots the deck.
Cheap Materials
Thin felt sold as 'high performance' fails within a few years. There's no shortcut here.
What Every Flat Roof Job Includes
- Existing covering stripped and deck inspected
- Any rotten decking replaced, not covered over
- Falls checked and corrected where needed
- Correct upstands and edge detailing
- Ventilation assessed and improved if required
- New outlets, or existing ones cleared and checked
- Full written workmanship guarantee
- All waste removed and the site left clean
