How Often Should Gutters Be Cleaned?
For most homes, once a year is enough — ideally late autumn once the leaves have fallen. If you have large trees overhanging the roof, twice a year is safer. If you've never had them done and the house is older, it's worth checking sooner rather than later.
You can usually tell they need doing if water pours over the front during heavy rain, if you can see plants growing out of them, or if you spot staining on the wall below.
